As Associate Dean for the Office of Global and Community Health, Jane Barrow directs School-wide efforts in education, research, and clinical services that further the School’s strategic goals for oral public health and the integration of oral health and medicine.

Working with an inter-professional team of faculty and staff, her Office strives to identify the burden of oral disease, educate an inter-professional workforce, reduce oral and other non-communicable diseases with shared risk factors, and thereby strengthen health systems and improve the health of communities locally and around the world. She is currently involved in several projects that advance this mission including implementation of the Nurse Practitioner Dentist Model at the Harvard Dental Center, integration of dental students into the Crimson Care Collaborative, a health needs assessment of migrant workers in Dubai, a collaboration on the first dental school in Rwanda, and other projects around the globe.
