Duncan Pieterse is an economist and was most recently responsible for economic policy at the National Treasury of South Africa. He is currently completing the Mid-Career MPA at the Kennedy School. He holds PhD, Masters and Bachelor of Business Science degrees in economics from the University of Cape Town and will return to the Treasury after his time at Harvard.
