Announcing the Fall 2023 Graduate Research Travel Grant Recipients
The Harvard Center for African Studies is pleased to announce the recipients of the Fall 2023 Graduate Research Travel Grants. Awardees receive between $1,000 - $4,000 to conduct fieldwork in Africa during the winter break, January term, or spring semester. This year, 11 graduate students were awarded funding, totaling $30,000. Research was conducted in 6 different countries, including: The Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
Graduate students interested in applying for the Center’s Graduate Research Travel Grants have two opportunities to apply:
- Apply by October 15 for funding for travel during winter break, January term, and the spring semester
- Apply by February 15 for funding for travel during the summer or fall semester
