Center for African Studies brings 'Barber Shop Chronicles' to Cambridge

Barber Shop Chronicles arrives in Cambridge as part of its US premiere tour following critically acclaimed runs at London’s National Theatre and the West Yorkshire Playhouse from Dec 5, 2018 to Jan 5, 2019. Africa's Growth Trajectory: Sustaining the Momentum in a Challenging Global Environment

On October 18, 2017, the Harvard University Center for African Studies was proud to host a talk with Dr. Hippolyte Fofack, Chief Economist and Director of Research and International Cooperation at the African Export-Import Bank. Dr. Fofack presented, "Africa's Growth Trajectory: Sustaining the Momentum in a Challenging Global Environment." In his talk, Dr. Fofack outlined a strategy for promoting Africa's growth resilience, and he concluded by taking questions from faculty and students in the audience. Harvard University, together with USIU-Africa and Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP), the Ford Foundation, University of Johannesburg, and the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa, partnered in organizing a Conference on the Role of the Diaspora in the Revitalization of African Higher Education, which took place at Harvard University’s Center for African Studies, in the U.S. city of Boston.
