The global socio-economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic have exacerbated existing challenges in Africa’s most populous nation. The Nigerian federal and state governments implemented numerous measures in an effort to mitigate some of the short-term effects of coronavirus. However, as mitigation measures ease, the longer-term effects of this health emergency will begin to manifest, in governance, security and development outcomes.

At this webinar experts will explore the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on Nigeria and consider how government and society might navigate these challenges to reduce their worst effects.
