Lives in Me: Community Building Through DNA

As part of the Boston chamber of commerce's effort to retain millenials of color in the Boston area, we are hosting a workshop for the Fierce Urgency of Now ( #FUNinBOS) festival on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 2-5pm. Dubbed Lives in Me: Community building through DNA , our workshop promises to deliver a wealth of information and perspective on the issue the African diaspora face in regards to community building.

This event showcases DNA testing as a method for community building in the African diasora. Information from the Harvard Medical School: Personal Genetics Education Project (pgEd) will be provided, and a panel of community members who have taken this live altering step of determining their ethnicity in Africa via DNA testing will speak.
