The Futures of Africa's Cocoa Industry

Save the date! This two-day workshop will bring together leading scholars and practitioners engaged in the study of the impact of climate change on the health, livelihoods, and agricultural practices of cocoa producers and their communities. During the workshop, we plan to investigate producer and current policy responses to these challenges, examine the growing interest in craft chocolate and nutraceuticals in Africa, and explore the governance and policies needed to support cocoa producers as full citizens with voice and agency moving forward. Together, we will ask “What are the futures of Africa’s cocoa industry?”
