Africa Scholars Forum and Pan Africa Graduate Student Association at UMass Boston invites you to celebrate our graduating Africanist students, recognize a distinguished community leader, and award our first Fatima Kyari Mohammed Student Scholarship award.

Community engagement award recipient and keynote speaker: Tony K. Ansah Jr.

Tony K. Ansah Jr. is a self-published author & social entrepreneur first-generation Ghanaian American who strives to live a life full of social impact & financial independence for himself and others. He is passionate about helping vulnerable and disadvantaged groups in Africa, and the Greater Boston Area and is the founder of the Ansah Africa platform. This online donation platform connects donors in the United States with non-profits in Ghana to solve global problems concerning women, children, and the elderly. He also volunteers for five development focused organizations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts

The Fatima Kyari Mohammed Student Scholarship award is an award inspired by a gift by the current African Union (AU) Ambassador to the United Nations (UN), Fatima Kyari Mohammed, to a May 2020 graduating student of the Africa Scholars Forum at UMass Boston.
