Join the Center on Forced Displacement for their inaugural conference and keynote event featuring Abdulrazak Gurnah, the 2021 Nobel laureate in literature. Gurnah is only the second Black African writer to win a Nobel Prize in literature (a recent profile of him in NYTimes is available at : https://www.nytimes.com/2022/08/21/books/abdulrazak-gurnah-nobel-book.html). Gurnah himself was a refugee from Zanzibar and has written beautifully about migrants and refugees. We are fortunate that at this time in history, when there is widespread conflict, racism, xenophobia and hostility, someone of his stature and moral clarity is joining us at BU. The event is free and open to the public. We hope you and your colleagues will join us on April 24th, 2023.
