African Studies Workshop Featuring Casey Golomski

Casey Golomski is Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of New Hampshire and affiliate faculty in Africana and African American Studies, Religious Studies and Women’s Studies. He will present “Race and Joking Relations in a South African Alzheimer’s Home.” Elizaveta Fouksman, Postdoctoral Fellow in Research and Social Justice at University of the Witwatersrand, will be the discussant.

A week in advance, the presenter’s paper will be circulated through the Harvard African Studies Workshop listserv. It is assumed that everyone has read the paper before the workshop.  After presentation and commentary, Workshop attendees are invited to engage in critique and discussion, under the moderation of the Workshop Chairs.
