Join His Excellency Julius Maada Bio, President of Sierra Leone, for a conversation on leadership, democratic resilience, and the strategic choices facing Sierra Leone and the African continent amid a shifting geopolitical landscape. Hosted by the Institute of Politics at the John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum at Harvard Kennedy School, the event will be moderated by Dr. Zoe Marks, Oppenheimer Faculty Director of Harvard’s Center for African Studies (CAS).
The event takes place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. ET, in person and via livestream.
The Forum is part of President Bio’s broader visit to Harvard University and CAS, which will also include a discussion with students on governance and leadership, a faculty roundtable on Sierra Leone’s development priorities, and a ceremonial flag raising.
