Themed, Africa’s Transformative Global Economy: Challenges and Opportunities, on March 31st, 2023, from 11:30 am – 8:00 pm, the John W McCormack School’s 5th Annual Africa Day will present a full day academic workshop and early evening gala on the AfCFTA goals and initiatives to transform the African global political economy.  Invited keynote speakers include, Carlos Lopes, former DG UNECA and Professor, Mandela School of Public Governance, University of Cape Town, SA,  Leonce Ndikumana, Distinguished Professor and Director, African Development Policy Program, University of Massachusetts Amherst, former Generations’ Southern African soap opera star, entrepreneur, and former Harvard Business School fellow, Lerato Motshwarakgole., and former Chair of the department of economics at UMass Boston, Professor Adugna Lemi.
