Africa's Leaders Speak

Africa’s Leaders Speak is an initiative to bring Africa’s leaders to Harvard’s campus to highlight leadership and good governance as instrumental to making the 21st century the African Century. This initiative offers the rare opportunity for both distinguished Africanists and the general public to hear from some of the continent’s most seasoned leaders. This initiative provides a platform from which to boldly confront these realities and devise innovative solutions in response.

The intention for this initiative is to translate high-level discussion into actionable solutions for policy and business issues, and to suggest new directions in academic research. It offers the rare opportunity for both distinguished Africanists and the general public to hear from some of the continent’s leaders. As such, we hope that it inspires young students and entrepreneurs to take the continent’s development agenda into their own hands. These conversations transcend boundaries of academic discipline and technical specialty, and instead inspire innovative thinking for years to come.
