African Studies Workshop featuring Loren Landau

Loren Landau is Professor, South African Research Chair on Migration and the Politics of Difference at the African Centre for Migration & Society, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. Landua will be presenting "Rights and Recognition in Africa’s Urban Estuaries: reflections on social membership in a mobile era." The discussant will be Delia Wendel.A week in advance, the presenter’s paper will be circulated through the Harvard African Studies Workshop listserv. It is assumed that everyone has read the paper before the workshop. After presentation and commentary, Workshop attendees are invited to engage in critique and discussion, under the moderation of the Workshop Chair.
