African Studies Workshop Featuring Didier Fassin

Didier Fassin is a Professor in the Institute for Advanced Study. Professor Fassin will be presenting “From Asylum Seeker to Illegal Migrant - and Vice Versa. Inquiry Into a Contemporary Form of Life.” Darja Djordjevic, a M.D.-Ph.D. candidate at Harvard University , will serve as the moderator for the discussion.A week in advance, the presenter’s paper will be circulated through the Harvard African Studies Workshop listserv. It is assumed that everyone has read the paper before the workshop. After presentation and commentary, Workshop attendees are invited to engage in critique and discussion, under the moderation of the Workshop Chairs.”
