Rodney has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare services industry sector in South Africa.  Having a finance and auditing background, he is presently serving at Netcare Group in capacity as Hospital General Manager. In his role, Rodney is responsible for the leadership, strategy development and implementation, operations, and performance of the hospital business unit, whilst he leads a team of seven managers and overseeing approximately 1200 staff, specialist doctors and allied partners at the facility.

He has previously worked in various capacities for industry leading companies such as Life Healthcare Group, Lenmed Group, PriceWaterhouseCoopers Inc. and Amarex Logistics.

Rodney’s aspirations and goals is to inspire leadership within others and play a part in mentoring other developing leaders and to develop and grow sustainable businesses in the domestic and international economies. Rodney’s achievements to date include his extraordinary leadership response to the Covid-19 pandemic.  The hospital under his management was recognized for life-saving interventions during the pandemic. Other achievements include green field projects in healthcare development and business turnaround strategies. Rodney enjoys spending time with his family and friends, sporting activities, the outdoors, travelling, and is a self-confessed foodie who relishes opportunities to experience different cultures and their cuisine.
