Keshri is an Investment Banker focused on Energy & Infrastructure in the Corporate & Investment Banking division of Standard Bank Group South Africa. As Africa’s largest financial services group, Standard Bank operates in more than 20 countries in Africa and abroad and has 49000 employees. The Energy & Infrastructure finance unit is primarily involved in the project financing of utility scale renewable and other infrastructure projects.

Keshri is an experienced deal maker with expertise in negotiating, structuring, and executing multi-million-dollar renewable energy and infrastructure transactions on the African continent. Keshri is a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) with +16 years professional experience in the financial services sector and has worked in various roles across investment banking, strategy, financial reporting, advisory, and audit. Her professional experience includes 6 years working in the Netherlands at KPMG and at General Electric. Prior to joining Standard Bank, she was a deal maker at Development Bank of Southern Africa focused on Infrastructure Project Finance. She holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Development Finance from University of Stellenbosch Business School and an Honours degree in Accountancy from University of Witwatersrand.

Africa’s energy sector is critical to accelerating the continent’s energy transition and unlocking further growth not only for the economy but also for the broader community. Keshri is passionate about renewable energy and executing large infrastructure transactions on the continent and through her work is directly impacting Africa’s growth and economic transformation through the financing of critical energy infrastructure. Keshri aspires to be a leading voice for women in the energy sector in Africa and through her own career development journey, seeks to inspire other young women to take up space and pursue a career in the energy and infrastructure investment space.
