TITLE: Climate Change and the Counteradaptation in Sierra Leone

Abstract:
Biography:Dr. Richardson previously served as clinical lead for Partners In Health’s Ebola response in Kono District, Sierra Leone, where he continues to conduct research on epidemic disease and climate change. He has also worked as a clinical case management consultant for the WHO’s Ebola response in Beni, Democratic Republic of Congo, and was seconded the Africa CDC to support its COVID-19 response. His work focuses on biosocial approaches to epidemic disease prevention, containment, and treatment, as well as the health impacts of climate change. As part of these efforts, he was selected as an NIH Climate and Health Scholar and serves as co-chair of the Walter and Patricia Rodney Commission on Reparations.
