DESCRIPTION:<p>Abidemi Babalola is 2016-2017 McMillan-Stewart Fellow at the W.E.B Du Bois Institute, Hutchins Center for African &amp; African American Research, Harvard University. He will present “Centering Africa in the global history of technological innovation and change: The Pre-colonial glass production in Ile-Ife, Nigeria.” Matthew Liebmann, Associate Professor of the Social Sciences at Harvard University, will be the discussant.</p><p>A week in advance, the presenter’s paper will be circulated through the <a href="https://lists.fas.harvard.edu/mailman/listinfo/africanstudiesworkshop-list">Harvard African Studies Workshop listserv</a>.
