Working in collaboration with the other regional study centers at Harvard University, the Harvard University Center for African Studies supports an annual four-day intensive summer workshop in the Greater-Boston area. The workshop is tailored for middle school, high school, and community college educators in the humanities and social sciences. The aim of the workshop is to encourage educators to work together to understand a topic that has relevance across world regions. Participants are expected to take what they learn back to their classrooms to enrich and globalize their curriculum.

Annual workshops feature presentations by scholars and experts, explore pedagogy and skill-building techniques to help educators and students; and provide an introduction to relevant classroom resources.

The Global Studies Outreach Summer Workshop is held annually in the late July or early August. Applications open in late February and close early April. To learn more about our workshops and apply, visit the Global Studies Oureach website at [https://globalstudiesoutreach.harvard.edu](https://globalstudiesoutreach.harvard.edu/).
