Boston University’s weekly Walter Rodney seminars are held Mondays in the B.U. African Studies Center. This week’s seminar features Lidwien Kapteijns, Elizabeth Kimball Kendall and Elisabeth Hodder Professor of History at Wellesley College, and Alessandra Vianello, Senior Lecturer in Development Studies at the School for Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, presenting "Islam in Brava (Somalia): Religious Poetry in the Town’s Vernacular as Historical Source (c. 1890-1975)."
