“Dilemmas, Disruption and Displacement: Thoughts on Southern Africa’s Wars of Decolonization and Their Legacies” by historian Dr Lennart Bolliger, followed by a panel discussion with the artists.

Dr. Lennart Bolliger is a postdoctoral fellow at the Humboldt University of Berlin and a visiting researcher at Wits University. Together with Dino Estevao, he is conducting a research project on the history of Angolan civilians who were associated with the SADF 32 ‘Buffalo’ Battalion. He is currently working on a book manuscript entitled Apartheid’s Black Soldiers: Military Collaboration and Transnational Armies in Southern Africa.  He holds a doctorate from Oxford University.
