This year, as the world celebrates the 20th anniversary of the UN Security Council’s landmark resolution on Women, Peace & Security, more than 80 countries have adopted national action plans in alignment with the resolution. However, this year has also thrown into sharp focus the urgent need to fully realize security for women and girls as overlapping humanitarian, health, and economic crises disproportionately affect women and girls in many parts of the globe.
