Come celebrate African culture, enjoy African food, dance, and musical performances, and honor Girls Empowerment Sierra Leone (GESL). GESL is a feminist-based organization in Sierra Leone that nurtures and enhances the leadership skills of young girls to become effective advocates and social change agents in their communities. The organization focuses on yearlong programming that emphasizes personal and leadership growth, community activism, health and sexual reproductive rights, innovation, and creativity. $20 ticket covers food, drinks, and entertainment. All proceeds will go to Girls Empowerment Sierra Leone.
