African Studies Workshop Featuring Lys Alcayna-Stevens

Lys Alcayna-Stevens is a Fellow in the Department of Anthropoloy at Harvard University. Previously, she was a post-doc researcher in socio-cultural anthropology at the Laboratoire d'Anthropologie Sociale (Collège de France) and Institut Pasteur, Paris. She will present Ebola Business: Surfeit and suffering in the Democratic Republic of CongoDiscussant: Eugene Richardson (Harvard Medical School).

A week in advance, the presenter’s paper will be circulated through the Harvard African Studies Workshop listserv. It is assumed that everyone has read the paper before the workshop.  After presentation and commentary, Workshop attendees are invited to engage in critique and discussion, under the moderation of the Workshop Chairs.
