The Harvard University Center for African studies is a proud member for the African Studies Association Outreach Council (ASAOC). Each year, the ASAOC organizes an annual teachers' workshop that provides educators with resources, lesson plans, and professional development on topics tailored to specific grade levels, subject areas, and curriculum frameworks with the aim to teach K-14 educators how to teach about Africa in their classrooms. Prior to 2020, the workshops were held in-person in conjunction with the ASA Annual Meetings. Workshops are now held virtually each November, with registration opening is early October.

To learn more and to register for upcoming workshops, visit the ASAOC website at [www.asaoutreach.org.](https://www.asaoutreach.org/africa-teachers-workshop) To view the recordings of past workshops, click on the workshop titles in the drop-down menu below.
