Harvard University Center for African Studies staff operate in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Harvard University Center for African Studies established Harvard’s first multidisciplinary, interfaculty research office in Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa in May 2017. The Africa Office serves as the locus for alumni outreach across the continent; support the work of Harvard faculty and students; and convenes conversations, discussions, celebrations, and conferences on the most important questions facing Africa and the international community today.
