In remembrance of Ghana’s 60th Independence Day Anniversary, the Center for African Studies Africa Office Executive Director Obenewa Amponsah was featured in an interview on KAYAFM 95.9 to discuss what it means to be a South African Ghanaian. Listen to the full interview covering pertinent topics related to development across the continent, the African diaspora, and Ghanaian heritage. Obenewa Amponsah is of Ghanaian descent, grew up in the Washington DC area and has lived in South Africa for over ten years. Her experience spans from community to governance development with a previous post as CEO of the Steve Biko Foundation.
