A partnership of international study centers on Harvard’s campus, this online reading series for K-12 educators has explored literature from five global regions: Africa, Latin America, Russia, the Middle East, and the Islamic World. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to discuss works of global literature with experts and authors in monthly, online conversations. Join for the seventh, and final, session featuring Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (2003)
Dr. Akua Sarr, Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences at Boston College, and Kristen Roupenian, a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of English at Harvard University, will lead the discussion.

The African community across New England will come together on City Hall Plaza to celebrate African arts and culture at the 4th Annual African Festival of Boston hosted by the Shalupe Foundation in partnership with the MicroLoan Foundation USA. This 1-day festival will welcome more than 20,000 attendees and will feature over 10 musical performances, cultural dances, African foods, vendors, children’s games, arts, crafts, plus health, tourism, and career fairs.
