Harvard’s Committee on African Studies is co-sponsoring an event with the Cambridge Public Library in celebration of Black History Month this February! Dr. Morgan is a Professor in the Department of African and African American Studies, as well as the Executive Director of the Harvard HipHop Archive. Professor Morgan teaches classes on hip hop, the ethnography of communications, representation in the media, language and identity, race, class and gender, and the African Diaspora has been a strong area of research interest for her. CAS is excited to host this event for the local community in remembrance of the important people and events in the history of the African Diaspora.
