Date:

Tuesday, April 18, 2017, 5:00pm to 6:30pm

Location:

Room 211 Barker Ctr, 12 Quincy St, Cambridge, MA 02138

The Islamic Africa Seminar (IAS) is excited to be hosting Graziano Kratli of Yale University on April 18. Graziano will be discussing his ongoing research on West African Arabic manuscripts.  His talk will explore the close, and occasionally fraught relationship between African Arabic manuscript preservation and the academy’s approach to Islamic Africa.

As always, all disciplines, backgrounds, and engagements with the field are warmly welcomed.  Dinner will be served - please RSVP (msteele@fas.harvard.edu) to help with planning.
