African Studies Workshop featuring Stacey Langwick

Date:

Monday, March 23, 2015, 6:15pm to 8:00pm

Location:

Lower Library, Robinson Hall

Stacey Langwick is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at Cornell University. Langwick will be presenting on “Partial Publics: The Political Promise of Contemporary Traditional Medicine in Africa.” Anita Hannig, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Brandeis University, will serve as moderator for the discussion.

A week in advance, the presenter’s paper will be circulated through the Harvard African Studies Workshop listserv. It is assumed that everyone has read the paper before the workshop. After presentation and commentary, Workshop attendees are invited to engage in critique and discussion, under the moderation of the Workshop Chair.
