Andy Agaba, the Gleitsman Leadership Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School for Public Leadership, is committed to helping impoverished African farmers through social enterprise. A native of Uganda, Agaba and his five siblings were raised by his mother, who worked tirelessly to ensure her children received an education. After graduating from Makerere University, in Kampala, Agaba came to the United States where he developed his idea for Bantu Coffee, a social enterprise designed to assist impoverished African farmers which he launched last year.
