Katharine Davis

I am an Ed.M. Candidate in International Education Policy at HGSE, and am also pursuing an MA at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. My research interests are emergency education and research, monitoring, and evaluation in humanitarian work. Additionally, I spent three years working for a humanitarian NGO in Burundi and DRC, most recently on monitoring and evaluation and capacity-building for a community-driven reconstruction program.

I just came back from working for three years in Dakar Senegal as a teacher for an International Baccalaureate school. I graduated from Northwestern University in 2009 with a degree in Communications Studies and International Studies. I am also a graduate of SIT Study Abroad in Cameroon. I was awarded a fellowship to continue doing research there during the summer of 2008. I am particularly interested in West Africa, and particularly how they are using ICTs for academia.
